Home Inspection FAQs
What does a home inspection include?
A home inspection is a visual evaluation of the home's major systems and components. This typically includes the roof, foundation, structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, attic, insulation, windows, doors, and exterior components. Our goal is to help buyers better understand the condition of the home at the time of inspection.
How long does a home inspection take?
Most home inspections take 3-4 hours depending on the size and condition of the home.
When will I receive my inspection report?
Kick A-Z Home Inspections typically delivers a detailed inspection report the same day as the inspection. In some cases, we may ask for up to 24 hours to ensure the report is complete and accurate.
Do you inspect new construction homes?
Yes. We offer
new construction inspections, including
pre-drywall inspections, pre-closing inspections, and 11-month warranty inspections to help homeowners identify concerns before their builder warranty expires.
What does a home inspection cost?
Inspection pricing is based on the size and age of the home. Many buyers choose to bundle services such as a radon test and sewer scope with their inspection. As a general guideline, buyers often budget around $1,000 for a full inspection package including these services.
Do buyers attend the home inspection?
Buyers are welcome to attend the end of the inspection for a walkthrough summary, where the inspector will review the most important findings and answer questions.
